Today one of my sweet students gave me a Christmas gift. I received a homemade cheesecake (delicious) and a cute little stocking with a B embroidered on it. Inside the stocking were snack size chocolate bars (she knows me VERY well) and an avocado! She was so excited for me to get to the bottom of the stocking to unveil the avocado. She told me that she gave me an avocado for two reasons.
1. Because I love avocados
2. Because that is how big baby Byrd is this week! How amazing is she?! I almost cried!
I absolutely melted when she told me that. I hope that one day, baby Byrd is that thoughtful when gift giving. What a great kid! It's small things like that that make me love being a teacher! Kids! LOVE THEM!
